I heard a strange bird this morning ..went out to investigate and saw one of these birds in our back yard tree and wanted to photograph it . I turned my back for just a moment to get my camera and suddenly there were 3 more ! Both Ken and I were out there taking photos of these remarkable birds !
Juvenile American bitterns .
I love spotting new birds in the area and the challenge of getting their photos !
