Birds In Flight !
I have been busy with gardens as the weather has been soo lovely but I always have a moment to take photos .
I have been practicing my flight of birds for a bit now . It’s all in the timing !
The best time of day to photograph these guys is early morning and evening when they are most active at the feeders !
My camera settings were , ISO 800 , F Stop 4.5 and my shutter speed was 1/1000 to 1/1250 of a second and all were taken in Raw !
Still practicing . I find smaller birds harder to photograph in flight then larger birds . All done with out a tripod . I like to have camera in hand and study my subject kind of get right in there !
Thanks for stopping by !

Walking Our Valley
I love going for walks with my Miggs and seeing and hearing all kinds of nature with in our valley village. We have vast forest around wide open fields and spaces and a lovely river that flows through and around our valley village .
There is so much beauty in the scenery here .
The Killdeer, one of the many breeds of birds that make home here in the changing seasons ! All the birds call and sing so wonderfully as it echo's through out the valley ! Soon the peepers will be singing in the marshy wooded areas as will the crickets !
Part of the Otter River !
Our roads lead to beautiful fields and wooded areas !
In the distance on top of the hill through the bare trees is a farm ! We have lots of farms with in and around the valley !
Paths to all kinds of wooded areas !
The Geese and ducks nest on the banks of the river !
Our village valley is large and land is plentiful for nature with grassy fields , forests and a river . It is a birders haven as we get all kinds of breeds arrive here and nest each changing season and wild life is nestled deep in the woods ! What could be better then walking out your front door to all of this and more !

Sweet Signs Of Spring Are Here !
All signs that spring is just a few weeks away have already arrived . The Robins are here chirping and singing , the Grackles and Redwing black birds are back as are the Starlings and critters are out and about !
The temps today are warmest they have been this season and the sun is shining it’s warmth as well !
As we bounced the clocks an hour ahead this morning to welcome day light savings time and have more day light now !
Even these pestsy fly's have come out !
Goldfinch are singing the spring praises !
The Redwing black bird looked and sounded happy to be back as he sings his song that reminds me of being in the march !
Even this little guy was out and about !
As the Starlings swarm and gather upon the tree tops !
Oh the sweet signs of spring are now upon us as all returns and sprouts a new ! As the Canada Geese fly from place to place back to their spring home and Tundra Swans fly over to prepare for their migration to a colder place now , to buds on the trees and bushes waiting to bloom , oh the sweet signs of Spring are here !

Photo Shoot !
Ken and I went to do a photo shoot yesterday at an Amish farm to take photos of our client’s team of Belgian’s and his Dutch Warmblood for a horse catalogue !
These big beauties pull the sleigh and plough !
These guy’s are gentle giants .
The Dutch warmblood pulled their wagon they use as transportation !
I took about 500 photos . It was cold but well worth it as I was able to do what I love to do be around horses and take photos !
