Nice work Ken and Elaine. I recently discovered that the mantis you have here is more than likely an import. I believe the brown ones are called Chinese Mantis. They were imported in the late 1800s to help with garden insect problems.
Oh, look at your photos. I love the last one with the cardinal and that looks like Lantana in the background?
What a haven you have there for taking pictures and capturing a hummer on a linb, I have not been able to do that.
