It is really cold today, How cold you ask ?
Well this cold ! and that’s with out the wind chill !
There is a sever snow storm heading for our neck of the woods!
So I decided to put the wood stove on earlier then usual. Sat back and thought HEY ! I think I will try my new 55-300 mm lens and take photos of the fire dancing in the wood stove .

Our Cardinal's are quite skittish this year , I haven’t had much luck in getting photos of them. I guess I could set up the tripod and camera near them and just set the camera up to take loads of photos but I like to be there to take the photos to be in the moment of each photo I take !
The male Cardinal was no were in sight , maybe another day !
The moon was so bright it reflected off of my lens in the photo. I think it makes it for a interesting shot !

There's a folklore about the wolf moon , northern Native Americans named it after packs of singing wolves they once heard during the winter month of January” That's were the phrase howling at the moon came from.
I have been having a tuff time getting photos of this guy, he is very camera shy !
