I am still learning the manual settings on my camera. I go out every now and then and just snap, snap, snap in hopes they turn out some what decent ! I enjoy taking black and whites .

Hi Elaine, I have found that light is my worst enemy..so I always take photos in the morning or late afternoon when the light is less harsh. I don't have a fancy camera..but I can do manual settings..but I am afraid ..but I too need to step out of my comfort zone. Take that photo of the boat again at a different time of day..and see what you get. You may be surprised:)
